KUNST ARZTでは、
VvK (アーティスト・キュレーション)
展覧会の32回目として、
北尾博史キュレーションによる
「The Covers - Duchamp」展を開催します。
北尾博史は、巧みな造形力と想像力で
“1枚の絵本”のような金属彫刻を
生み出すアーティストです。
「この偉大な芸術家の数々の名作を
いま一度、振り返り考えてみたい」という思いを
アレハンドロ・ガルシア・コントレーラス、小嶋崇嗣、
熊谷誠、岡本光博、の4作家と共有し展開します。
現代美術の原点である一方、精神的呪縛感を
与え続けるデュシャンへの
それぞれの向き合い方をお楽しみください。

KITAO Hiroshi is an artist who creates
metal sculptures like a "picture book"
with his skillful modeling and imagination.
In this exhibition, he shares his desire to
"look back and consider the many masterpieces
of this great artist" with four other artists,
Alejandro Garcia Contreras, KOJIMA Takashi,
KUMAGAI Makoto, and OKAMOTO Mitsuhiro.
We hope you will enjoy their respective
approaches to Duchamp, who, while being
the starting point of contemporary art,
continues to exert a sense of spiritual haunting.

マルセル・デュシャン　
この偉大な芸術家の数々の名作を
いま一度、振り返り考えてみたいと思い立ちました。

展覧会のタイトルはThe Covers-Duchamp
まるで歌謡番組のようですが
文字通りDuchampの考えや作品をCoverしてみては
というのが趣旨です。

難しい関連書籍を読み込んでみるのもいいのですが
先ずはとにかく自分の思い描くDuchampを作ってしまえ
（歌ってしまえ）というわけです。

各々が感じ、形作るDuchampの数々、
それらを披露する機会になればと考えています。

Marcel Duchamp
I just thought to look back and reflect on
many masterpieces of this great artist once again.
The title of the exhibition is The Covers-Duchamp.
It looks like the title of a music program,
but the purpose of this exhibition is
literally to cover Duchamp's ideas and works.
I can try to read some difficult books about Duchamp,
but I thought I should first create (or sing) my own Duchamp.
I hope this will be an opportunity for each artist
to present a variety of Duchamp that they feel and shape.
